Our Daycare

Stock Dogs is an independent, multi-award winning members-only canine country club, nestled within our own 22-acre ancient orchard and farm land. 

We provide structure and enrichment, in a calm rural environment, with a strong focus on welfare, trust, and consistency where dogs can explore and thrive.

As experienced and qualified hands on owners, we limit numbers to ensure every dog receives the attention, familiarity, and personalised care they enjoy and deserve.

Stock Dogs are fully licensed and insured.

We proudly work with local colleges and Essex County Council offering work placements and opportunities for individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We also support local schools by providing work experience placements, helping young people gain practical skills and real-world experience in a supportive environment.

Rhian

Born and raised in the beautiful countryside of Stock, Essex, Rhian grew up surrounded by beloved family dogs, horses, and even a Pot Belly Pig. Her deep love for animals has carried through to adulthood, where she is now a proud dog mum herself. Inspired by her lifelong passion for animals, Rhian created Stock Dogs, dedicating her time, knowledge, and energy to providing exceptional care for canine companions.

Together with her husband Tony, Rhian takes pride in offering fellow dog owners peace of mind by delivering the highest standard of canine care within a natural environment and serene rural location.

Rhian has a strong passion for canine diet and nutrition, as well as natural dog products. She became an approved stockist of Green & Wilds and Natures Menu - two brands she has personally used and loved for years.

Rhian’s interests also extends to canine behaviour. To deepen her expertise, she completed a Canine Behaviour course at Writtle College, and continues to explore ways to enhance the wellbeing of their guests.

Tony

Born and raised in the heart of London, Tony grew up surrounded by a variety of pets, including rabbits, hamsters, tropical fish, terrapins, and even a canary. However, his dream was always to have a dog of his own. Long before his parents finally agreed, a young Tony would visit the local pet shop to stock up on dog leads, collars, bowls, and toys—a true testament to his lifelong love of dogs!

In 2001, Tony moved to Essex and after 34 years in the financial sector in the City of London, he decided to follow his passion. Taking the leap, Tony joined Stock Dogs alongside his wife Rhian to dedicate himself fully to caring for canine companions.

Tony now plays a vital role in daycare operations, ensuring all guests have a fun and enriching experience. He also handles pick-ups and drop-offs when required, so if you see him out and about, be sure to give him a wave!

Tony studied at Writtle University College and holds certifications in:
